His unique blend of creative vision and consulting has made him a trusted advisor and collaborator for the film industry in Malta, where he works alongside directors, actors, and producers. Carey has the distinct privilege of working alongside his brother, nephew, and many new colleagues on the beautiful island of Malta.
Carey’s greatest accomplishments are his family—his son Collin, his daughter Haley, and his wife Stacy, to whom he has been married for 33 years. His favorite films are "Interstellar" and "the movie he hasn't made yet."
- Julian CristGeneral ManagerOriginally from Texas, Julian spent much of his childhood traveling the world, living for a year in Malta along the way. After returning to the U.S. for high school at a boarding school in Buffalo, New York, he pursued a degree in International Business in Florida. His career took a decisive turn during COVID when he began working with a DP, which eventually led him to become an AC.
This experience fueled the founding of Cineloop. His work brought him full circle, back to Malta, where he now serves as the Director of Cineloop Camera, overseeing film projects and continuing his creative journey.
Julian's favorite films are "Whiplash" and "The Great Outdoors." - Rihards OlmanisGeneral ManagerRihards studied film in Estonia and began his career in editing. Looking for more on-set involvement, he transitioned to video assistant work later spending several years as a Q-take Operator and DIT. Rihards then worked for 5 years at BBrental, a Camera, Light, and Grip rental house in Latvia, advancing to sales and management roles. Now with Cineloop in Malta, he helps DOPs achieve their creative vision.
A father of twin boys, Rihards values active days off and aims to always leave places better than he found them. His favorite movies are "The Big Lebowski," "Serious Man," and "Royal Tenenbaums”. - Ashley MumfordProduction Office CoordinatorAshley hails from Los Angeles but discovered her passion for the film industry after relocating to Malta. With a background in hospitality, she is committed to supporting creatives in realizing their cinematic visions, often taking on various roles throughout the production process.
When not working on a project, Ashley is a dedicated yoga student and enjoys traveling for yoga training opportunities abroad. Her favorite movie is “The Princess Bride,” and she especially loves all things “Star Wars.” - Nauris BruninsCamera Gear & Service ManagerNauris is a versatile individual coming from Latvia, where he was born and raised. From a young age, he showcased a diverse set of skills, obtaining an electrician qualification in a college and completing music school with a focus on piano and drums. At just 14, he demonstrated his resourcefulness by helping his father build a house.
Nauris later moved to Denmark, where he earned a degree in multimedia design and communication. Driven by a passion for photography and filming from his school days, Nauris began his professional journey as a freelancer in the field and later as a camera technician on-set/in a rental house.
His passion for an active lifestyle is evident in his love for snowboarding, motorcycling, and cycling. He is married to a wonderful wife and is a proud father of a girl and a boy. His favorite shows include "Prison Break" and "Chosen".
